Automatrip started in 2023 when two travel industry veterans—Mark (a former tour operator) and Lina (a CRM consultant)—realized how many agencies were drowning in preventable busywork. Mark spent 3 hours daily copying data between systems; Lina watched clients pay for expensive custom software when off-the-shelf tools would do. They began documenting their experiments with Zapier on a simple Notion page—which grew into a 20,000-word resource used by agencies in 12+ countries.

We’re not a startup or a SaaS company. This is a passion project funded by occasional affiliate links (always disclosed). No investors, no upselling. Why? Because the travel industry thrives on shared knowledge—from hostel owners to luxury DMCs. When one agency automates their visa processing, we want every agency to benefit. That’s why we reject paywalls and jargon-heavy “gurus.”

Today, our small team includes ex-travel agents, automation specialists, and content designers who volunteer time to keep the project ad-free. (We even manually reply to every email.) The dream? A world where no travel professional spends midnight debugging a broken Excel formula. Because travel should be about people—not paperwork.
